On October 12, join two La Crosse Public Library Archives interns on tours exploring themes in La Crosse history. The Voices of La Crosse tours use Hear, Here stories to travel through various topics in local history and are debuting this fall.

To hear a sneak peak into the tours, watch this LPL Archives Hidden Treasures video:

The two tours that will be guided on Saturday, October 12 are:

The Purpose of a Park, starts at 11:00am

From cows to people, this walking tour will explore the purposes and history of La Crosse's downtown parks.

Preserving La Crosse, starts at 2:00pm

Explore the already lost and the currently protected, this walking tour focuses on the strong preservation movement that arose from past destruction in the downtown area.

Both tours will meet at the southwest corner of Burns Park.
