History Tours this May

Come celebrate Historic Preservation Month this May and join the Footsteps of La Crosse history tour series, guided by LPL Archives staff. Footsteps explores how class, culture, and architecture intersect on La Crosse's streets.

Each week, we will explore a different neighborhood and topic. The schedule is:

• Week 1 (May 3):  Main St. Meander | Walking Tour
• Week 2 (May 10): Cass-King Historic District | Walking Tour
• Week 3 (May 17): Caledonia St. | Walking Tour
• Week 4 (May 24): Sweet Spots of North La Crosse | Bike Tour | about a 4 -mile loop, car route is available to follow along (contact the guide, Jenny, to get this ahead of time; see contact information below)

 The last tour will end at the Sweet Shop, where the group can get a snack at the end of the ride. Contact Jenny at jderocher@lacrosselibrary.org for accessibility and alternate route information.
