The Ygdrasil Society of La Crosse (Wis.) approved their constitution on March 1, 1952, with the purpose of forming a Norwegian-American organization to study and discuss topics of general interest including the heritage and culture of the Scandinavian people in the United States and Europe. Membershp is limited to married couples, as least one of whom is of Scandinavian descent.
