Abstract
This book, the Cemetery Policies for the Evangelical Lutheran Christian Congregation of West Salem, Wis. [Kirchhofsordnung fuer den Kirchhof der Ev. Luth. Christus Gemeinde zu West Salem, Wis.], contains the policies for purchasing plots in the Christ Lutheran Cemetery in West Salem, Wis. Written in 1912, the same year of Rev. John Mittelstaedt's last ministry, the Reverend along with Henry Garbers founded a new property for the congregation to use as a cemtery. Its location is west of Hamilton Cemetery in West Salem. This book, written by the Evangelical Lutheran Christian Congregation in German, contains information about the cemetery (name and location) as well as information regarding plots (size) and their cost and upkeep.
