Summary Information

Abstract
This booklet is a compilation of unpublished material and correspondence between Mark R. Sutton and his wife Louisette Sutton sent to his parents while stationed in Germany, 1970-1973. Lt. Col. Sutton was an optometrist serving in the Medical Unit, and his wife was active in the Nuernberg Officers' Wives Club and other groups. There is very little in the way of personal correspondence in this collection of material compiled by Harry and Olive Sutton Demko Collier.

Biographical Note

Mark R. Sutton (Jr) was born in 1930 and grew up in La Crosse, Wisconsin, and graduated from Central High School. His father, Mark Sutton, was a coach and teacher at that school. Sutton Jr. graduated in 1955 with a degree in optometry and served in the United States Army. During 1970-1973, he was stationed at Nuernberg, Germany, with his wife, Louisette.

Sutton is buried in Arlington National Cemetery, having died in 1977.
