Summary Information

Abstract
The Trane Company has had various publicatons intendend for various audiences. Some of them have been published concurrently. "Trane Weather Magic" (April 1939-May 1942, 1960) was intended for business contacts and showcased the Trane product line and explained the science behind their heating and air conditioning. "Trane News" (November 1939-1940, 1947-1949) was intended for Trane salesmen. "Trane LM News" (March 1943- May 1945) was published by the newly formed Labor Mangement Committe and was intended for all Trane employees, office, factory, and field representatives as well as employees in the military. It focused on Trane Company and the war effort. "Triangle" (1950-2004) was intended for Trane employees and their families. "Trane World" (1972-1977) was intended for international Trane employees. It is written in English, but also has some passages in French, German, Spanish and Japanese.

"Trane LM News" was the official publication of the Trane Labor Management Committee. This publication was intended for all Trane factory and office employees, field representatives in the branch offices, and Trane men serving in the military. "Trane LM News" was intended to interpret the work of Trane employees in relation to the war effort. The dates span March 1943 - May 1945. "Trane News," a Trane Company publication for salesmen, has issues before (1939-1940) and after (1947-1949), "Trane LM News."

"Trane News" was published before and after "Trane LM News," and concurrently with "Trane Weather Magic."
