Justin Family
The Justin Family Cemetery is a rural, private cemetery hidden by spreading lilac bushes under a huge old red pine tree in the Town of Shelby in southern La Crosse County, Wisconsin. The Justin family has lived on the farm for over one hundred years and owned up to 120 acres. A new development is currently under construction just west of their farm.
A single stone, not far from the original home and milk house, recognizes the burial site of Gustav A. Justin, son of Julius & Louisa Justin. His parents are buried in the Kienholz/Mormon Coulee Cemetery associated with the Swiss Reformed Church of Mormon Coulee, now called Trinity United Church of Christ.
The lone grave marker says:
Gustav A. Son of J. & L. Justin Died Mar. 6, 1862 Age 3 yrs. & 3 mo. |
