Summary Information

Abstract
Sunnybrook School, Joint School District No. 6, Towns of Barre, Greenfield and Shelby (La Crosse County, Wis.). Treasurer: Account Book (1867-1954) includes the daily money record keeping of the District from 1867-1954. Typical record keeping includes records of expenditures, such as salaries of teachers and school board officers, repair of the school house and fence, etc., as well as income, such as tax levies, money received for text books, and the like. The collection also includes two small account books, one for dealings with West Salem State Bank (1927-1942) and the other with Union State Bank in West Salem, Wis. (1944-1952).

Historical Note

Sunnybrook School of Joint School District No. 6, included the Towns of Hamilton, Barre, Greenfield and Shelby in La Crosse County, Wis. from 1868-1873. After 1873, the school district only included the Towns of Barre, Greenfield and Shelby.
