Abstract
Collection of family photographs from the Russell E. Sprain Estate. Russell was one of four sons of Fred C. and Elizabeth (Wehrenberg) Sprain. The family lived in the Bostwick Valley/Town of Barre area and moved to the West Salem community in 1934. Russell was unmarried and remained in the family home, thus inheriting many family photographs of his siblings and parents.

While most photographs are of the Sprain and Wehrenberg families, there are also some images of the West Salem Centennial Parade in 1951, classmates and friends throughout the years, Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church and school as well.
