The family lived in the Bostwick Valley/Town of Barre area and moved to the West Salem community in 1934. Scope and Contents
Photographic material of the Fred C. and Elizabeth Wehrenberg Sprain family gathered by one of their children, Russell E. Sprain. The photographs were grouped by a person's name when known and include Sprain and Wehrenberg last names.
Other photographs include classmates and posed group school portraits as well as church groups. An interesting group of snapshots of the West Salem Centennial Parade that took place June 9, 1951, also exist. A large photograph is of the Herman Myer farm in Pleasant Valley where Elizabeth Sprain worked before her marriage to Fred C. Sprain. Several snapshots and some cabinet photographs are unidentified.
